The needs of the local population have changed since we opened at our original site in 1992. People are living longer and more people are living with dementia. It is estimated that soon 1 in 3 people over the age of 65 will live with dementia. We want to care for more people with dementia and we want to ensure that our residents can live in a home that can provide for all their needs.
Our new Nursing home in Banbury, Oxfordshire opened in August 2017 and provides 60 en suite bedrooms for residents with nursing and dementia care needs.
Our home offers:
- ensuite bedrooms for each resident that are comfortable, spacious and well-equipped
- a sensory garden and a variety of communal spaces including sun rooms and verandas
- a hairdressing salon
- a drop-in dementia-friendly cafe and space to work with partner organisations
All our residents continue to receive the high quality, person-centred, compassionate care for which we are known. We want each of them to live well in their 'home from home'.
Green Pastures Christian Nursing home trustees have launched a fundraising campaign to ensure that the bank loan to cover the costs of building the new home is as low as possible. To find out how you can offer your support, visit our Giving page.
